Since December 2015, I’ve been toiling away on one very special project. I’ve written and edited relentlessly. I’ve reached out to numerous theaters. I’ve begun compiling a production team. I’ve promoted the hell out of this thing. Never before have I been so motivated and focused on one project — but this one is different.
Now, finally, all the work has paid off: GYNX, my play about castrating rapists, will receive its Off-Broadway premiere in August 2017! (Details here.)
But even though I’ve already put in 1.5 years of nonstop work, the real work starts today. We need $15,250 to make this production happen.
This is where you come in.
Unlike most theatre crowdfunds, which only offer “producer credits” or a “social media shout-out” for your contribution, we’re giving you a chance to see GYNX for yourself. No matter where you are in the world, you can watch a professional recording of GYNX online, for a donation of only $25 — that’s the same cost as a ticket to the live show!
If you believe in supporting women artists and challenging rape culture, then please donate to the GYNX IndieGoGo. Whether you can give $1, $10, $100 or $1,000 — every bit helps, and we’re immensely grateful!
I can’t wait for you to see this bad-ass show! I promise you’re going to love it!
Thank you always, loveling.
